An Ancient Demon

The Ancient Ones most commonly referred to as the Elder Bairns (a named assumed to be given by Kotori Itsuka) are one of main antagonists races in LOTM: Sword of Kings, being one of the many demon races in CIS Productions stories. They're a predominant races of demons and evil spirits in Qliphoth and in the 2nd Floor of Triggers Hell's Hell.

Creation[]

It is not known how the Ancient Ones came into existence. However, it is referenced that they can "mate" with a human to create a hybrid of the two (e.g Petelgeuse Romanee-Conti and Shiva). Though how this is done is not revealed.

Many different appearances are shown through out the story. Different Ancient Ones have different abilities and traits. Some can fly (Bat, Gryphon, Statue). Some can manipulate prey/humans (Shadow, Train). Some have the ability to speak (Train, Samurai, Skeleton) and some can take the form of humans.

A hybrid ancient one

The primary instinct of the Elder Bairns is to kill and feed on living being, mainly humans, who are the creations of the most notable Gods like Nu Wa, their only source of sustenance.

Legends regarding The Elder Bairns say that they have been feeding on humans since ancient times on all Earths, showing that these unusual creatures have been around for quite some time. The Elder Bairn were so great in strength and number that the humans, who were extremely weak compared to them had no means of defending themselves.

Celica Arfonia, the Goddess of all Magic, says that "No matter how dear someone may have been or how loved, it meant nothing to the Elder Bairn as they devoured any and every human being unfortunate to fall into their sight."

In an act of hopeful desperation the humans tried somehow to establish a dialogue with the Elder Bairn since some of these creatures spoke the language of men. Unfortunately this attempt made no difference because to the Elder Bairn, humans were nothing more than food and saw something that like how humans saw chickens and fresh meat.
