Ricardo Leyva Muñoz Ramírez, aka Richard Ramirez, dubbed the "Night Stalker" by the news media, was an American serial killer, rapist, and burglar that terrorized the residents of the greater Los Angeles area, and later the residents of the San Francisco area, from June 1984 until August 1985. An avowed Satanist, he never expressed any remorse for his crimes.
In the biography horror film Night Stalker, he served as the titular main antagonist. In American Horror Story: Hotel, he was among the guests who were attending Devil's Night in Hotel Cortez. By 2015, he attended the Devil's Night for the third time since dying of cancer after 23 years on death row in 2013.
