Grunt is a genetically engineered krogan super soldier. Bred and educated in a tank, he was intended to
exemplify the best traits of the krogan, and help reinvigorate his species. In the meantime, he fights alongside Commander Shepard to satisfy his natural desire for violence.
The Fayelons Story[]
Grunt made his first appearance in the story alongside Wrex after the girls' fight with the entity. They didn't have a chance to meet them immediately after arriving on the Normandy as the girls were sleeping, but stayed to chat with the crew until the girls woke up. When Flare entrusted her piece of the key to a door said to contain an untapped magical force to Wrex, even though kept quiet about where he would hide his piece as the group had agreed on, Grunt had a pretty good idea what he planned to do with the piece as they gleefully chuckled to each other about it.
