George is a grumpy, rude steamroller whose interactions with almost anyone he meets generally lead to trouble.

History[]
George was built in October 1926. He arrived on Sodor on March 28, 1958. In 1961, he first met Sir Handel who was taking a load of freight down a rail that went by where George was working. This made George very annoyed, so he rammed into Sir Handel's train causing his freight cars to tip over, thus derailing him. The train and construction crews argued until a policeman broke them up and a metal fence was built between the road and the tracks. George was later paving a road on an old abandoned line, but paved the concrete over a level crossing, later causing Thomas to derail and crash, injuring his driver and fireman. After that, George refused to allow Duck to pass him at the yard. As a result, one of his trucks was still on the main line. When Gordon came through, he collided with the truck, which almost completley destroyed it. Sir Topham Hat was very cross with these disturbances, and punished George by taking him off of the roads for several days to be used as machinery at the nearby mill.
After that, George had little actual contact with the engines or any other villains. In 1973, Thomas retrieved him to repair the runway of the new Sodor airport at the last minute. He continued to work at the lumber mill until he was scrapped in August 1999.
