Skeletor (/ˈskɛlɪtɔːr/) is a fictional supervillain and the main antagonist of the Masters of the Universe franchise created by Mattel, the archenemy of his nephew He-Man.He is depicted as a muscular blue humanoid with a purple hood over his yellow bare-bone skull. After being passed over for the throne of the world of Eternia in favor of his younger brother, due to being of mixed-race, he attempted to take the throne by force, leading to his subsequent disfigurement at his brother's hands and banishment from Castle Grayskull. Subsequently, Skeletor seeks to conquer his former home so he can obtain its ancient secrets, which would make him unstoppable and enable him to conquer Eternia. However, the incompetence of his henchmen is always an impediment to achieving his ambitions.
In the 2002 series, Skeletor was once a man named Keldor whose face was accidentally splashed with acid. He survived by summoning a dark entity who saved his life, but it cost him his entire face.
Legends of the Multi-Universe (Menslady's story)[]
Skeletor had long been a threat to Eternia as he would constantly try to invade Castle Grayskull and take its power for himself. Things began to look up for him when Eternia fell into his grasp.
However, his attempt to capture the Angels of Disney and Phantom resulted in him getting sealed away in another dimension.
