Lady Crane is a background character in Tim Burton's 1999 film, Sleepy Hollow, who is a witch and she's married with Lord Crane, a violent and religious man. Ichabod's mother is sweet and playful and she loves her son, playing with him and showing him her witchcrafts. When Lord Crane found out his wife's magical draw (used to protect her beloved son Ichabod) he gets furious and the poor woman is separated from his son, and she's horribly killed by Lord Crane with an iron maiden. Her corpse is later discovered by the innocent Ichabod. To make it even worse, Ichabod loses his faith.

In LOTM: Witnesses of Sleepy Hollow, Lady Adaline Crane served as a recurring flashback character. She was one of the light witches who was a descendant from the Salem Witch Trials survivors that escaped into England. She was the mother of Ichabod Crane, husband of Lord Thomas Crane, mother-in-law of Katrina Crane and paternal grandmother of Jeremy Crane.
When Ichabod was eight, Lady Crane was killed by Ara Astaroth who possessed Lord Crane and killed her inside a torture chamber, and wiped Ichabod & Lord Crane's memories on her murder, making them to believe that Lady Crane died in sickness. Immediately after the real memories were restored within Ichabod's mind, Lady Crane's death became one of the greatest childhood traumas he had ever experienced since he loved his mother very dearly.
