Davos Seaworth is a major character and protagonist in the ASoIaF novels and its HBO adaption Game of Thrones. Davos is a former smuggler. He becomes a knight and later a lord as well as the right hand to rightful King Stannis Baratheon and the closest thing Stannis has to a friend. He is the voice of reason in Stannis's ear, constanty clashing with the King's other advisor, the red priestess, Melisandre. Davos is a man that is loyal and above all honorable alway willing to stand up for what he sees as the right and just thing to do.
