Woobies

A woobie (named for a child's security blanket) is that character you want to give a big hug, wrap in a blanket and feed soup to when he or she suffers so very beautifully. Woobification of a character is a curious, audience-driven phenomenon, divorced almost entirely from the character's canonical morality.

These are characters who invoke symthany from the audience and characters. They need a hug, badly. A wobbie is a character male or female who goes through horffic torture and sometimes even cries and complains about what happening or happened them. They are put under constant stress and angst to create emotional attachment to the character.

. Had or Are suffering gulit and self blame for something they didn't do

Some times they can be jerks or villains like Scrouge or Bender but you can pity them if their situations are dire and they have shown a nicer side
