Troubled Characters with constantly feeling tormented by their past or their actions

These characters (often female) are coping with a traumatic event which has destroyed their faith in just about everything by becoming as cynical, stoic, and/or badass as possible

A deep experience and emotional detachment almost always give the impression of competence, though they doesn't always live up to their own hype they give themselves as being more experienced and worldly than the other characters, even if they're young. In fact, they may fill a role of a mentor for the more idealistic and native people
